The 8th annual Rockin' on the Run 5k walk/run & family day will be held May 20, 2017 from 7:30am-12 noon at St Patrick School in London, OH. We will have entertainment, food, a silent auction, raffles, vendors, and so much more! We give our participants the unique opportunity to decide where they would like their money to go; brain tumor research or the cancer floor's 'fun' fund at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
Ashley Winebrenner, Johnda Beathard and Carol Semler founded Rockin’ on the Run in 2010. They created this organization to raise awareness of pediatric brain tumors. Carol’s daughter, Reagyn, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2005. In 2011, Robin Baier (Violet) and Dode McVey (Nate) became very involved in planning the event because of their children’s diagnoses of brain tumors. Beth Fordyce, Lisa Mittelkamp, Nick Yono, Dodie Winebrenner and Heather Shingler have also joined the team of organizers to help make Rockin' on the Run an even bigger success!
Rockin’ on the Run holds one major community event a year. This is a 5K walk/run and family day. This year’s event, is scheduled for May 20th, 2017 and will be the 8th year for the event. We donate our money in the names of local children who have passed away from a brain tumor or who are currently fighting a brain tumor. Our heroes this year are Reagyn, Kyra, Garrett, Braxton, Carrie, Nate, Violet, and Faith.
To date we have donated more than $90,000 to fight brain tumor cancer. Rockin’ on the Run has achieved so much in such a short amount of time and it’s all because of the communities’ involvement.
More About The Charity

Brain tumor research; because without research a cure can never be found. also known as H12's 'fun' fund; which supports all things related to patients that aren't medicine.
